I can only imagine that IT is taking up your time and energy as you still haven't acted on my comments from two weeks ago. This is not like you.

- Make sure that you delete all the comments I put onto your weebly. They are in yellow.
- Please make sure the text is all the same size. The size it is for the Jin Lee analysis is perfect.
- Really thorough and accomplished completion of the initial tasks apart from the David Bailey exhibition but leave that now- it will not affect your marks.
- Your fire developments are showing a greater control of technique. It's very difficult to see the amount of work that's gone into this when the images don't enlarge. Can you make sure that they all do please? Annotation for these sets is really limited. YOU MUST answer the following: what were you trying to achieve / what were you intentions, what went well and even better if, what is next for each set.
- I would like to see you revisit the work from earlier in the project, LOOK at Paul Smith as you were asked to do before half term. http://www.paulmsmith.co.uk/portfolio/heroes/heroes.html You could include levitation, falling leaping but obviously the background images would have to be your own.
- Look at other photographers who have considered hero ideas: SACHA GOLDBERGER http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/grandmas-superhero-therapy-18, Jason Bard Yarmosky or Andreas Englund. They are all jokes but there's something interesting about all these old superheroes in every day scenes.
Photograph beyond the studio focussing on two of your ideas. Ice / Fire and Falling / jumping.
You must think of a narrative:
Eg.
busy London streets, on the tube or a bus...
Look again at Paul Smith's action hero series.

back up for the exam
Next steps:
Fire
1. Continue with altering everyday objects so they look like they are burning, but try to include a wider area. For example, a flower bed with only one plant on fire or a kitchen with only one object on fire. You could make the whole room on fire first as another experiment if you wish.
2. Super heroes / super powers. Photograph a person in an everyday location. Make their hands on fire as if they are about to shoot a fireball.
You could also have a 'super hero' who uses ice or water. Could you change other parts of them (subtlety) ie. eyes
Look at Paul Smith's Heroes series.

This is getting serious now Van. Your weebly really doesn't reflect the amount of work you have done. You need quicker approaches to creating surreal photography. I would suggest that you look at the work of Erwin Wurm who creates surreal image through the way he photographs rather than how he edits. http://www.openeye.org.uk/archive-exhibition/erwin-wurm-one-minute-sculptures/
You could also look at the surreal sequences of Duane Michals who I have mentioned before however may be try this:

Barcelona:
It would be great if you could annotate the trip very briefly. I don't feel that you have been very selective. There's alot of snapshots here. It would be great to have your 4 favourite images from the entire trip edited at the bottom of the page.
